This project is providing rehabilitation services and care for complex chronic diseases and patients who have two or more chronic illnesses, including diabetes, heart disease and cancer.

The new state-of-the art facility includes:

  • new, improved measures to prevent and control infection after surgery
  • larger rooms for specialized wheelchairs and the full turning of beds
  • more space for therapy
  • gyms, dining and activity rooms conveniently located on each patient floor for easy access
  • outdoor patios, gardens and paths designed to promote health and well-being

This facility will help staff to provide an even higher quality of care for patients and supports and inspires improved mobility and recovery. Finally, the campus is revitalizing a portion of Toronto’s Riverdale neighbourhood with new green space, including renovations to the historic Don Jail.
