The ferry departs:

  • Glenora on the hour and the half-hour
  • Adolphustown at a quarter to and a quarter after the hour

Wolfe Island Ferry Service

Route: Kingston — Wolfe Island

Runs: Year round

Ferry transports:

  • passengers
  • vehicles
    • maximum capacity: 294 passengers and up to 55 vehicles
    • vehicle height restriction: 4.4 metres (14 feet 5 inches)

Operated by: Government of Ontario

Where to board the ferry

Kingston Terminal:

  • passengers can board the ferry at the Kingston Terminal on 295 Ontario Street

Wolfe Island Dock:

  • Dawsons Point dock, located 4.8 kilometres east of Marysville

Wolfe Island ferry schedule

Please note that on Wednesdays, beginning May 15, 2024, the Wolfe Islander IV will replace the Wolfe Islander III between 09:00 and 15:00 (9 a.m. – 3 p.m.). During this time, the regular schedule below will be suspended and replaced with on-demand service. Regularly scheduled service will resume at 15:00 (3 p.m.).

Starting August 17, a new schedule between Wolfe Island and Kingston will begin. Please be sure to check the schedule below to plan your trip.

As of August 17, 2024, the Wolfe Islander IV will go into full-time service, replacing the Wolfe Islander III.

The new ferry is one of the first electric passenger and vehicle ferries in North America and will be able to transport 50% more vehicles than its predecessor.

Work is underway on charging and docking infrastructure improvements that will enable the Wolfe Islander IV to run on a more frequent schedule in the future.

Pelee Island Transportation Service

Routes:

  • mainland at either Leamington or Kingsville to Pelee Island
  • Pelee Island, Ontario, Canada — Sandusky, Ohio, U.S.

Runs: Year-round. Air service is provided during the winter months between Pelee Island and the Windsor municipal airport.

Runs: Seasonal. There is no winter service as Manitoulin Island can be accessed by the highway.
