Overview
Flu shot clinics are available seasonally to help prevent the spread of influenza.
You should get a flu shot as soon as possible. It’s the best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu.
Where to get a flu shot
During flu season you can get a free flu shot from:
- your doctor or nurse practitioner
- participating pharmacies
- some public health units
Children six moths to four years old can get their flu shot from a doctor, nurse practitioner or local public health unit. Children under five years old cannot get a flu shot at a pharmacy.
Referrals
You do not need a referral to use this service.
Appointments
Some clinics and participating pharmacies may require appointments. Contact your local health care provider for more details.
Fees
There are no fees for this service. Anyone who lives, works or attends school in Ontario is eligible for a free shot.
