Overview

As prescribed in the Farm Products Marketing Act (FPMA) and the Milk Act, the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission (commission) oversees marketing boards (termed “local boards” within the FPMA) to ensure that they operate within the powers and authorities delegated to them.

The commission also provides advice, facilitation, direction and education to the 22 marketing boards and three section 12 representative associations.
