Illegal collection has been identified as a significant threat to the Wood Turtle in Ontario. The Survey Protocol for Wood Turtle (Glyptemys insculpta) in Ontario contains information on how to search for and locate this species in the wild, which has the potential to increase the risk of illegal collection. For this reason, this document has not been posted on the Ontario Government website. If you require this document to inform Wood Turtle research, conservation or management activities, please contact your local Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry district office to request a copy.
