Overview

The forms listed on this page are related to tile drainage projects and municipal drain construction, improvement, maintenance, repairs and operations.

The forms are for use by municipalities, contractors and the public. They include petitions, applications, notices and other documents you may need to submit to the Ontario government or your local municipality.

Drainage Act

These forms are used by property owners, municipalities, drainage engineers, drainage superintendents and regulatory agencies for various procedures under the Drainage Act, 1990.

Petitions and agreements

These forms are used to petition a local municipal for a drainage system under the Drainage Act and for the local municipality to notify the petitioners of their decision whether or not to proceed with the drainage system.

Requesting information

These forms are used to provide notice that an environmental appraisal or a benefit cost statement is required for a drainage project.

Public meetings

These forms are used to provide notice related to the on-site meeting, meeting to consider the preliminary report, meeting to consider engineer’s report and meeting to consider contract price for a drainage project.

Engineer’s recommendation

This form is used to provide notice of the engineer’s recommendation not to proceed with a drainage project.

Court of revision

These forms are used to provide notice regarding the court of revision.

Tribunal

These forms are used to provide notice regarding appeals made to the Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Tribunal.

Passing by-law

These forms are used by lower-tier municipalities located within specific upper-tier municipalities to enact a by-law for drainage works and provide notice to property owners for compensation paid due to insufficient outlet or loss of access.

Management of existing drains

These forms are used to request and provide notice for the management of existing drain including maintenance, repair, improvements and abandonment of drains under the Drainage Act.

Tile Loan Program

These forms are used by agricultural property owners and municipalities for loans to help finance tile drainage projects under the Tile Drainage Act.

Ontario tile drainage licensing

These forms are used by businesses and individuals to obtain the required licenses under the Agricultural Tile Drainage Installation Act.
