Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002

We, by and with the advice of the Executive Council of Ontario, name June 1, 2003 as the day on which the following provisions of the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002, c. 32, come into force:

  1. Sections 1 and 2, subsections 3 (1), (2) and (3), sections 6 to 10, subsections 11 (1) and (2), sections 18, 20, 31, 32, 34 to 39, 41, 45, 51, 52 and 53, subsections 54 (1), (3), (4), (5) and (6), sections 55 to 61, 81 to 120 and 122 to 170.

Provincial Declaration Of Emergency

I, Ernie Eves, the Premier of Ontario hereby declare a Provincial Emergency in accordance with the Emergency Plans Act due to the emergency described herein:

A Health Emergency Related to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (Sars) for the Emergency Area or part thereof described as

The Province of Ontario

And furthermore I hereby designate Tony Clement, Minister of Health and Long Term Care, to exercise the powers conferred on me by the Emergency Plans Act.
