Elizabeth The Second, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom, Canada and Her other Realms and Territories, Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.

Access To Justice Act, 2006

Order in Council 2389/2006 directed the issuance of a proclamation under the Access to Justice Act, 2006. The proclamation, issued on November 29, 2006, names the day on which certain provisions of the Act come into force. The day named in the English version of the proclamation is January 1, 2007. The day named in the French version of the proclamation is January 7, 2007.

Therefore, we, by and with the advice of the Executive Council of Ontario, amend the French version of the proclamation, issued on November 29, 2006 under the Access to Justice Act, 2006, c. 21, by striking out “le 7 janvier 2007” and substituting “le 1er janvier 2007”.

Access To Justice Act, 2006

We, by and with the advice of the Executive Council of Ontario, name January 1, 2007 as the day on which sections 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 17 of Schedule B to the Access to Justice Act, 2006, c. 21, which amend the Justices of the Peace Act, come into force.
