Ontario Highway Transport Board

Periodically, temporary applications are filed with the Board. Details of these applications can be made available at anytime to any interested parties by calling 416-326-6732.

The following are applications for extra-provincial and public vehicle operating licenses filed under the Motor Vehicle Transport Act, 1987, and the Public Vehicles Act. All information pertaining to the applicant i.e. business plan, supporting evidence, etc. is on file at the Board and is available upon request.

Any interested person who has an economic interest in the outcome of these applications may serve and file an objection within 29 days of this publication. The objector shall:

  1. complete a Notice of Objection Form,
  2. serve the applicant with the objection,
  3. file a copy of the objection and provide proof of service of the objection on the applicant with the Board,
  4. pay the appropriate fee.

Serving and filing an objection may be by hand delivery, mail, courier or facsimile. Serving means the date received by a party and filing means the date received by the Board.

    2. charter trip privileges are contingent upon the licensee continuing to operate this scheduled service;
    3. on this route the licensee will not operate more than one (1) scheduled return trip per day and four (4) scheduled return trips per week between the Town of Bracebridge and the City of Barrie and that any such scheduled trip shall include the Town of Port Carling on Highway 118;
    4. on chartered trips originating from the County of Simcoe and the District of Muskoka, the licensee shall be restricted to the use of Class “D” public vehicles as defined in paragraph (a) (iv) of subsection 1 of Section 7 of Regulation 982 under the Public Vehicles Act, RSO 1990, Chapter P. 54.
  2. For the transportation of passengers and express freight on a scheduled service between the Cities of London, St. Thomas, the Town of Aylmer, the Town of Tillsonburg, the County of Norfolk, County of Haldimand, a place known as Chambers Corners in the Regional Municipality of Niagara, the Cities of Welland, Port Colborne, Niagara Falls and St. Catharines, via Highways 3, 4, 58, 406, 420, 405, the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way) Elgin County Road 25 and County Road 20.

    provided that there be no local scheduled service between the Cities of Niagara Falls and St. Catharines.

  3. For the transportation of passengers and express freight on a scheduled service between the City of Owen Sound and the Town of Hanover in the County of Grey, via Highways 21 6, 10, County Roads 10 and 40.
  4. For the transportation of passengers and express freight on a scheduled service between the City of Guelph, a place known as Aberfoyle in the Township of Puslinch in the County of Wellington, and the City of Hamilton, via County Road 46 and Highways 6 and 403.
