Application of policy

Information sharing agreements with third parties help to protect the personal information of applicants and recipients and ensure that applicants and recipients do not receive assistance for which they are not eligible.

Information sharing agreements

The ministry has information sharing agreements with several Ontario government ministries, some other provinces, and departments of the federal government. These agreements entered into by the ministry apply to all delivery agents.

If any new agreements are signed, such information will be communicated to delivery agents with a copy of the agreement so that agreement protocols are adhered to and appropriate business practices are implemented.
