From time to time this office receives Bonds or Covenant to Indemnify the Land Titles Assurance fund. Most of these are drawn up in the prescribed form 51 or 52 of Ontario Regulations 75/82 under The Land Titles Act.
Recently, required information such as the application number, the parcel number, section, the registration number of the document and the Land Registry office number have been missing from these documents. This information is required so that the documents can be matched with the specific file maintained in this office.
Land registrars are requested to ensure that bonds and covenants comply with the regulations.
