Under the Boundaries Act

  • The fee for a Boundaries Confirmation under the Boundaries Act will increased from $378 to $400; the fee for each lot or parcel adjoining the boundary to be confirmed remains unchanged at $1.

Photocopies of Abstract/Parcel

There is some inconsistency in the interpretation of Bulletin 88001 with respect to the photocopies of an abstract index or parcel register.

The fee for photocopies of abstract indexes or parcel registers applies when ordering the requisite copies. In cases where a fee is paid for the production for a book and subsequently photocopies are ordered, the fee for photocopies still applies. (See tariff item 5(1)(b) under the Registry Fees Regulation and 6(1)(b) under the Land Titles Fees Regulation.) Therefore, in this case, the $5 search fee plus the additional photocopy fee of $5 (plus $1 for each additional page) apply for a total of $10 for the first page.

In situations where it is necessary to look at the parcel register or abstract index for purposes of identifying the proper parcel, no additional search fee is incurred if the photocopy is ordered immediately.
