Section 2 of the Drainage Act provides for the registration in the land registry office of agreements between two or more owners of land.

Section 2 of The Tile Drainage Act provides for the registration of the duplicate original by-law or a copy of the by-law certified by the clerk of the municipality. Such a by-law is to be registered in the By-law Index pursuant to s. 18 of The Registry Act. If a legal description is provided, these by-laws can also be registered on the abstract or parcel page under both the land titles and registry systems. An abbreviated legal description which complies with section 3 of O. Reg. 997, R.R.O. 1990, is sufficient for registration.

These agreements or by-laws are to be accepted for registration under both systems, if the subsection and the Act is stated in Box No. 4 of the Document General and other basic registration requirements are met.
