Amending Reg. 1055 of R.R.O. 1990

1. Section 0.1 of Regulation 1055 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is amended by adding the following paragraph:
4.1 Pre-cast concrete erector.
2. Subclause 5 (1) (c) (ii) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
(ii) in a program that is similar to the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program, approved by the Director and operated under the supervision of,
(A) a board as defined in the Education Act, or
(B) a band, council of a band or education authority authorized by the Crown in right of Canada to provide education to persons who are Indians within the meaning of the Indian Act (Canada), or
3. The English version of subsection 8 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “of the journeyman” and substituting “of the journeyperson”.
4. (1) The English versions of subsections 10 (1) and (2) of the Regulation are amended by striking out “journeyman” wherever it occurs and substituting in each case “journeyperson” and by striking out “journeymen” wherever it occurs and substituting in each case “journeypersons”.
(2) Clause 10 (3) (b) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
(b) in a program that is similar to the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program, approved by the Director and operated under the supervision of,
(i) a board as defined in the Education Act, or
(ii) a band, council of a band or education authority authorized by the Crown in right of Canada to provide education to persons who are Indians within the meaning of the Indian Act (Canada); or
5. The English version of subsection 11 (5) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “other than a journeyman” and substituting “other than a journeyperson”.
6. The English version of subsection 17 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “as a journeyman in the certified trade” and substituting “as a journeyperson in the certified trade”.
7. The English version of section 20 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “as a journeyman in Ontario” and substituting “as a journeyperson in Ontario”.
