Amending O. Reg. 422/17

1. (1) Paragraph 1 of section 7 of Ontario Regulation 422/17 is amended by adding the following subparagraph:

2. Section 10 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraph:

7.1 The requirement described in paragraph 7 does not apply if the applicant is a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario who is a registered nurse and who holds a certificate of registration in the general class, extended class or temporary class and whose primary occupation identified in the Express Entry system is one of the following occupations listed in the National Occupational Classification:

i. 31300 – Nursing coordinators and supervisors occupation.

ii. 31301 – Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses.

iii. 31302 – Nurse practitioners.

iv. 32101 – Licensed practical nurses.

3. Section 11 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraph:

6.1 The requirement described in paragraph 6 does not apply if the applicant is a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario who is a registered nurse and who holds a certificate of registration in the general class, extended class or temporary class and whose primary occupation identified in the Express Entry system is one of the following occupations listed in the National Occupational Classification:

i. 31300 – Nursing coordinators and supervisors occupation.

ii. 31301 – Registered nurses and registered psychiatric nurses.

iii. 31302 – Nurse practitioners.

iv. 32101 – Licensed practical nurses.

Commencement

4. This Regulation comes into force on the later of July 1, 2024 and the day this Regulation is filed.
