Interpretation
1. (1) Expressions used in this Act have the same meaning as in the Financial Administration Act unless the context requires otherwise. 2010, c. 26, Sched. 10, s. 1 (1).

(2) In this Act, a reference to the estimates and supplementary estimates for 2011-12 means the estimates and supplementary estimates for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2012 as tabled in the Assembly on or before March 31, 2012. 2010, c. 26, Sched. 10, s. 1 (2).
Expenses of the public service
2. (1) For the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2012, amounts not exceeding a total of $70,400,000,000 may be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or recognized as non-cash expenses to be applied to the expenses of the public service that are not otherwise provided for. 2010, c. 26, Sched. 10, s. 2 (1).
Applied in accordance with estimates and supplementary estimates
(2) The amounts referred to in subsection (1) must be applied in accordance with the votes and items set out in the estimates and supplementary estimates for 2011-12. 2010, c. 26, Sched. 10, s. 2 (2).
Investments of the public service
3. (1) For the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2012, amounts not exceeding a total of $2,300,000,000 may be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund or recognized as non-cash investments to be applied to the investments of the public service in capital assets, loans and other investments that are not otherwise provided for. 2010, c. 26, Sched. 10, s. 3 (1).
Applied in accordance with estimates and supplementary estimates
(2) The amounts referred to in subsection (1) must be applied in accordance with the votes and items set out in the estimates and supplementary estimates for 2011-12. 2010, c. 26, Sched. 10, s. 3 (2).
Expenses of the Legislative Offices
4. For the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2012, amounts not exceeding a total of $121,000,000 may be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund to be applied to the expenses of the Legislative Offices that are not otherwise provided for and the money shall be applied in accordance with the votes and items set out in the estimates and supplementary estimates for 2011-12. 2010, c. 26, Sched. 10, s. 4.
Expenditures of the public service
5. An expenditure of the public service in the votes and items set out in the estimates and supplementary estimates for 2011-12 may be incurred or recognized by the Crown through any ministry to which, during the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2012, responsibility has been given for the program or activity that includes that expenditure. 2010, c. 26, Sched. 10, s. 5.
