Order in Council 1007/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Richard Bisson was appointed a part-time justice of the peace in and for the Province of Ontario, effective July 28, 1993, by Order in Council O.C. 2000/93;

And whereas Richard Bisson was appointed a part-time justice of the peace in and for the Province of Ontario, and designated as a presiding justice of the peace, effective December 1, 1994, by O.C. 3390/94;

And whereas Richard E. Bisson was appointed a full-time justice of the peace in and for the Province of Ontario, and designated as a presiding justice of the peace, effective October 10, 2001, by Order in Council O.C. 2096/2001;

And whereas a hearing panel, after a hearing under section 11.1 of the Justices of the Peace Act, has recommended to the Attorney General that His Worship Richard E. Bisson be removed from office on the ground that he has become incapacitated or disabled from the due execution of his office by reason of conduct that is incompatible with the due execution of his office;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 11.2(1) of the Justices of the Peace Act, Order in Council 2096/2001 is revoked, Schedule “B” of Order in Council 3390/94 and Order in Council 2000/93 are each amended by deleting “Richard Bisson, Welland”, and His Worship Richard E. Bisson is removed from office.
