Order in Council 1031/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Special Advisor to Cabinet – Transit Upload (“Special Advisor”) and the Transit Upload Advisory Panel (“Supporting Panel”) were established by Order in Council O.C 1030/2018, dated August 31, 2018, for a period not exceeding three years from the date of the order;

And whereas the foregoing Order in Council provided that the Special Advisor and Supporting Panel shall be paid such remuneration and expenses as the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine;

Therefore, pursuant to the Prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of advisors who serve Her Majesty’s Government in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities, the following remuneration is effective the date of the appointments of the Special Advisor and member(s) of the Supporting Panel:

1. The Special Advisor shall not be paid remuneration, other than as set out in paragraph 3.
2. The member(s) of the Supporting Panel shall each be paid remuneration at the rate of $398 per diem, to a maximum of $62,088 annually per member, for work carried out in respect of the Supporting Panel.
3. The Special Advisor and member(s) of the Supporting Panel shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while discharging their duties and in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
