Order in Council 1056/2020

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsections 27(2) and 27(5) of the Human Rights Code, Ena Chadha of Brampton be appointed as full-time member and designated Chief Commissioner of the Ontario Human Rights Commission on an interim basis for a fixed term of one year, effective the date this Order in Council is made.

Further, whereas Ena Chadha was appointed as part-time member and designated as Chair of the board of directors of the Human Rights Legal Support Centre for the Province of Ontario for a fixed term of three years, effective February 21, 2018, by Order in Council O.C. 263/2018;

And whereas Ena Chadha tendered her resignation as Chair of the board of directors of the Human Rights Legal Support Centre for the Province of Ontario effective the date this Order in Council is made;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 45.14(3) of the Human Rights Code, Order in Council O.C. 263/2018 be revoked effective the date this Order in Council is made;

And further, pursuant to subsection 45.14(2) of the Human Rights Code, Ena Chadha of Brampton be appointed as part-time member of the board of directors of the Human Rights Legal Support Centre for the Province of Ontario for a fixed term of one year, effective the date this Order in Council is made.
