On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Long-Term Care (“Minister”) has appointed three individuals and directed them to investigate the spread of COVID-19 and related mortalities in long-term care homes pursuant to section 78 of the Health Protection and Promotion Act until May 31, 2021;

Therefore, each individual who is not employed in the public service or broader public sector or who is not appointed as a judge by the Lieutenant Governor in Council or Governor General shall be paid at a rate of $2000 per day up to a maximum of 224 days;

Further, the individuals shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while carrying out their duties as directed by the Minister in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expense Directive.
