Order in Council 1063/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Michael Gottheil was reappointed the full-time Executive Chair of Social Justice Tribunals Ontario and a member of the Child and Family Services Review Board, the Custody Review Board, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Ontario Special Education Tribunal (English), the Ontario Special Education Tribunal (French) and the Social Benefits Tribunal, respectively, for concurrent terms of five years, effective March 7, 2016, by Order in Council O.C. 200/2016;

And whereas Michael Gottheil tendered his resignation effective August 7, 2018;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 77(a) of the Legislation Act, 2006, subsection 16(1) of the Adjudicative Tribunals Accountability, Governance and Appointments Act, 2009, subsections 333(2) and 151(2) of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017, subsection 3(1) of the Compensation for Victims of Crime Act, subsection 32(2) of the Human Rights Code, subsection 169(1) of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006, subsection 57(1.1) of the Education Act and subsection 61(1) of the Ontario Works Act, 1997, Order in Council O.C. 200/2016 be revoked effective August 7, 2018.
