Order in Council 1079/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to appoint persons to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Mario Di Tommaso

be appointed Deputy Minister of Community Safety, Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, effective October 22, 2018, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years;

And as Deputy Minister of Community Safety, Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, Mario Di Tommaso is also appointed Deputy Solicitor General pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Ministry of the Solicitor General Act, effective October 22, 2018, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a term concurrent with his appointment as Deputy Minister of Community Safety, Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services;

And Mario Di Tommaso shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of the Deputy Solicitor General in the name of the Deputy Minister of Community Safety, Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services;

And that Order in Council O. C. 2016/2017, dated October 4, 2017 be revoked on the effective date of this appointment.
