On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas on April 4, 2019, it was announced that the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services would become the Ministry of the Solicitor General,

Pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to appoint persons to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

be appointed Deputy Solicitor General, Community Safety, Ministry of the Solicitor General, effective the date this Order in Council is made, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not extending beyond October 21, 2021;

And as Deputy Solicitor General, Community Safety, Ministry of the Solicitor General, Mario Di Tommaso is also appointed Deputy Solicitor General pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Ministry of the Solicitor General Act, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a term concurrent with his appointment as Deputy Solicitor General, Community Safety, Ministry of the Solicitor General;

And Mario Di Tommaso shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of the Deputy Solicitor General under the Ministry of the Solicitor General Act in the name of the Deputy Solicitor General, Community Safety, Ministry of the Solicitor General;

And that Order in Council O.C. 1079/2018, dated October 1, 2018 be revoked on the effective date of this appointment.
