Order in Council 109/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Little John Enterprises Ltd., a corporation existing under the laws of Ontario (the “Company”), desires to continue to operate a forest resource processing facility in Timmins, Ontario (the “Facility”);

And whereas the supply agreement numbered 536228 currently held by the Company was approved by Order in Council 1537/2002 and amended by Order in Council 341/2004 (the “Supply Agreement”);

And whereas the Supply Agreement requires the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council in order for the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry (the “Minister”) to renew the Supply Agreement for an additional five years;

And whereas the Supply Agreement was renewed for a period of one year as approved by Order in Council 586/2022;

Now therefore, pursuant to section 24(3)(b) of the Crown Forest Sustainability Act, 1994, S.O. 1994, c. 25 and section 11.1 of the Supply Agreement, the Minister is hereby given approval to renew the Supply Agreement with the Company for a period of four years for a supply of Crown forest resources, being a maximum annual target volume of 9,000 cubic metres, to be made available to the Company for use at the Facility.
