On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas:

  1. Centralized Supply Chain Ontario is a corporation without share capital established under subsection 2(1) of Ontario Regulation 612/20 (O. Reg. 612/20) under the Supply Chain Management Act (Government, Broader Public Sector and Health Sector Entities), 2019;
  2. Centralized Supply Chain Ontario has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural person for carrying out its objects and duties, except as limited by O. Reg. 612/20 under the Supply Chain Management Act (Government, Broader Public Sector and Health Sector Entities), 2019;
  3. Paragraph 4(3)2 of O. Reg. 612/20 under the Supply Chain Management Act (Government, Broader Public Sector and Health Sector Entities), 2019 provides that Centralized Supply Chain Ontario shall not borrow money without the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council; and
  4. Pursuant to subsection 28(1.1) of the Financial Administration Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. F. 12, as amended, the President of the Treasury Board or delegate has approved the borrowing described below for the purpose of Centralized Supply Chain Ontario’s participation in Ontario Public Service Employees’ Union Pension Plan subject to the terms and conditions set out in the Minister’s approval.

Now therefore:

  1. Pursuant to paragraph 4(3)2 of O. Reg. 612/20 under the Supply Chain Management Act (Government, Broader Public Sector and Health Sector Entities), 2019, Centralized Supply Chain Ontario is authorized to enter into a letter of credit for an amount of up to Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) in lawful money of Canada with the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) in connection with Centralized Supply Chain Ontario’s participation in Ontario Public Service Employees’ Union Pension Plan and to pay interest to RBC as may be required under the associated terms and conditions.
