On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the site known as Ontario Place is comprised of two parcels of lands, one situated in Lake Ontario that is unpatented land as described in Schedule “A” (the “Island Lands”) and one situated on the mainland that is patented land as described in Schedule “B” (the “Parking Lot Lands”);

And Whereas part of the Island Lands is subject to a lease granted by Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Natural Resources for the purposes of operating an amphitheatre (the “Lease”);

And Whereas pursuant to Order in Council 1849/84 dated July 12, 1984 and Order in Council 796/2018 dated April 18, 2018, the administration and control of the Parking Lot Lands and the Island Lands (collectively, the “Lands”) were transferred to Ontario Place Corporation, a body corporate continued under the Ontario Place Corporation Act;

And Whereas it is considered advisable for the Minister of Government and Consumer Services (the MGCS) to have administration and control of the Lands for the purpose of managing them, 

Now Therefore,

  1. Order in Council 796/2018 is hereby revoked and the administration and control of the Island Lands, including the Lease, are hereby transferred to the Minister of Government and Consumer Services; and
  2. Order in Council 1849/84 is hereby revoked and the administration and control of the Parking Lot Lands are hereby transferred to the Minister of Government and Consumer Services.
