Order in Council 1125/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Accelerating Access to Justice Act, 2021 (the “Act”), among other things, changes the title of a “Case Management Master” to that of an “Associate Judge”;

And whereas a number of Orders refer to “Case Management Master”;

And whereas it is considered desirable to amend these Orders to reflect the updated title in the Act, made subsequent to the making of the Orders;

Therefore, Orders in Council 553/2002, 1933/2016, 515/2017, 516/2017, 518/2017, 2235/2017, and 867/2019 be amended by deleting the words “Case Management Master” and replacing them with “Associate Judge”, effective on the later of the day subsection 11(1) of Schedule 3 to the Accelerating Access to Justice Act, 2021 come into force and the day this Order in Council is approved and ordered.
