Order in Council 1144/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council, the Government of Ontario established five positions of Regional Facilitator;

And whereas that Order in Council provides that the Regional Facilitators shall be paid such remuneration and be reimbursed for such expenses as the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of advisors who serve His Majesty’s Government in Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Regional Facilitator Remuneration

1. Each Regional Facilitator shall be remunerated at the following rates for service in their role as Regional Facilitator, up to maximum of $108,000 for the term of the appointment:
   1. A rate of $600 per diem for service of three hours or more.
   2. A rate of $300 per diem for service of less than three hours.

Expenses

2. In addition to the remuneration set out above, the Regional Facilitators shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out their duties in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet’s Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive, subject to written approval from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.
