Order in Council 1180/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Dianne Jean Ballam was appointed a full-time justice of the peace in and for the Province of Ontario, and designated as a presiding justice of the peace, effective December 18, 2002 by Order in Council O.C. 1997/2002;

And whereas a hearing panel, after a hearing under section 11.1 of the Justices of the Peace Act, has recommended to the Attorney General that Her Worship Dianne Jean Ballam be removed from office on the ground that she has become incapacitated or disabled from the due execution of her office by reason of conduct that is incompatible with the due execution of her office;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 11.2(1) of the Justices of the Peace Act, Order in Council 1997/2002 is revoked, and Her Worship Dianne Jean Ballam is removed from office.
