Order in Council 1217/2018

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas:

1. By Order in Council O.C. 1789/2017 dated August 31, 2017, the Lieutenant Governor in Council appointed Bonnie Adamson as supervisor for the Brant Community Healthcare System pursuant to subsection 9(1) of the Public Hospitals Act (the “Supervisor”);
2. By Order in Council O.C. 1795/2017 dated August 31, 2017, the Lieutenant Governor fixed the Supervisor’s rate of remuneration at $2,000 per day for a maximum of 250 days; and
3. To enable the Supervisor to fulfill her mandate, the Lieutenant Governor in Council wishes to authorize the continued remuneration of the Supervisor at the same rate for an additional 90 days.

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006:

1. The Supervisor shall be remunerated at the rate of $2,000 per day, based on a 7.25 hour day.
2. The number of days for which the Supervisor may be remunerated under this Order shall not exceed a total of 90 days.
3. The Supervisor shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses that are incurred while carrying out the duties of that position in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
