Order in Council 1220/2016

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Dirk VanderBent was appointed a full-time member and Vice Chair of the Assessment Review Board by Order in Council 1219/2016 dated August 24, 2016;

Therefore, pursuant to section 3 of the Assessment Review Board Act, subsection 16(4) of the Adjudicative Tribunals Accountability, Governance and Appointments Act, 2009 and subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006,

Dirk VanderBent be paid an annual remuneration of $131,450.

Further, Dirk VanderBent shall be eligible for benefits, excluding pension, in accordance with the benefit entitlements of the Senior Management Group of the Ontario Public Service;

Further, Dirk VanderBent may elect to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan in accordance with the provisions of the Plan. If he declines to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan, he shall not be entitled to compensation in lieu of participation in the Plan;

And further, Dirk VanderBent shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Assessment Review Board in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
