Order in Council 1246/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsections 4.1 (2) and (8) of the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998, the members of the board of directors of the Ontario Energy Board (“OEB”) shall, in respect of their appointments by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, be entitled to remuneration as follows:

Chair’s remuneration:

1. The chair of the OEB’s board of directors shall serve in this position on a part-time basis and shall be paid remuneration as follows:
   1. $1,250 per day, to a maximum of $200,780 per year up to and until September 30, 2022 inclusive.

Vice-Chair’s remuneration:

2. The vice-chair of the OEB’s board of directors shall serve in this position on a part-time basis and shall be paid remuneration as follows:
   1. $250 per day up to and until September 30, 2022 inclusive.
   2. $560 per day as of October 1, 2022.

Other members’ remuneration:

3. The members of the OEB’s board of directors, other than the chair and vice-chair, shall each serve on a part-time basis and shall be paid remuneration as follows:
   1. $200 per day up to and until September 30, 2022 inclusive.
   2. $510 per day as of October 1, 2022.

Expenses:

4. In addition to the remuneration set out above, the members of the OEB’s board of directors, including the chair and vice-chair, shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out their duties on the board of directors in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet’s Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.

Further, Order in Council O.C. 116/2020 dated January 30, 2020 is hereby revoked as of the date this Order in Council is approved and ordered.
