Order in Council 1248/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Order in Council O.C. 193/2022 dated February 3, 2022 established the Portable Benefits Advisory Committee for the period of February 3, 2022 through August 2, 2023;

And whereas Order in Council O.C. 1247/2023 dated August 23, 2023 extended the term of the Portable Benefits Advisory Committee for an additional 12 months (“Extended Period”);

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of His Majesty the King in right of Ontario:

1. The chair of the Portable Benefits Advisory Committee shall be remunerated at the rate of $723 per day, up to a maximum of,
   1. 236 days for the period of February 3, 2022, through August 2, 2023.
   2. 190 days for the Extended Period.
2. The other members of the Portable Benefits Advisory Committee shall be remunerated at the rate of $500 per day, up to a maximum of,
   1. 216 days for the period of February 3, 2022, through August 2, 2023.
   2. 160 days for the Extended Period.
3. In addition to the remuneration set out above, the chair and other members of the Portable Benefits Advisory Committee shall be reimbursed for reasonable work-related expenses incurred in carrying out their duties as a member of the Portable Benefits Advisory Committee in accordance with the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other TB/MBC directives.

Further, Order in Council O.C. 194/2022 be revoked, effective the later of August 3, 2023 and the date this Order in Council is made.
