On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

The Ministry of Labour (“Ministry”) is responsible for the administration of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the regulations made under that Act.

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (“Board”) shall require Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 employers under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997 to make payments to defray the cost of administering the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the regulations made under that Act.

The Lieutenant Governor in Council may fix the total payment to be made by all employers for that purpose.

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 22(1) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the following payments are fixed:

  1. For each of the months of June 2017 to February 2018, inclusive, the payment shall be $18,883,778.33.
  2. For the month of March 2018, the payment shall be a reconciliation amount equal to the difference between the Ministry’s 2017-2018 year-end actual expenditures and the total actual recoveries from the Board of the previous eleven months (i.e., from April 2017 to February 2018, inclusive), but in any case shall be no more than $18,883,778.37.
  3. For each of the months of April and May 2018, the payment shall be $18,576,875.00.
