Order in Council 1274/2016

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

whereas the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care has recommended to the Lieutenant Governor in Council that a hospital supervisor be appointed for the Public General Hospital Society of Chatham; St. Joseph’s Health Services Association of Chatham, Incorporated; and Sydenham District Hospital (hereinafter referred to as the “Hospitals”) under subsection 9(1) of the Public Hospitals Act;

and whereas the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care has given the board of each of the Hospitals at least 14 days notice before making such recommendation to the Lieutenant Governor in Council in accordance with subsection 9(2) of the Public Hospitals Act;

and whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council considers it in the public interest that a supervisor be appointed for the Hospitals;

therefore, pursuant to subsection 9(1) of the Public Hospitals Act,

is hereby appointed as supervisor for the Hospitals to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, effective the date this Order in Council is made;

and further, the Supervisor shall be paid such remuneration and expenses as the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine.
