Order in Council 1349/2016

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

whereas pursuant to clause 10 (a) of the Education Act, the Minister of Education may appoint such advisory or consultative bodies as may be necessary by the Minister from time to time;

and whereas the Minister of Education appointed the Curriculum Council to provide high level, strategic policy advice to the Minister on specific issues concerning elementary and secondary curriculum;

and whereas the Minister of Education has appointed the Chair and other members of the Curriculum Council;

therefore, the Chair of the Curriculum Council shall be paid a per diem of Two Hundred and Twenty-five dollars ($225.00) for each day that he or she spends on the business of the Curriculum Council;

and further, the Chair and other members of the Curriculum Council are entitled to be paid travel and other necessary expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Curriculum Council in accordance with the policy of expenses set out in the Directives and Guidelines of the Management Board of Cabinet;

and further that Order in Council number O.C. 1130/2009 dated June 17, 2009, is revoked, effective from the date of this Order in Council;

and furtherthe effective date of this Order in Council is the date this Order in Council is approved and ordered.
