On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to establish advisory bodies and provide for the appointment of advisors to assist Her Majesty’s Government in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities, the position of Provincial Land and Development Facilitator was established by Order in Council 425/2015 and was most recently extended by Order in Council 467/2020, effective April 1, 2020, for a period not exceeding six months;

And whereas pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of persons who serve Her Majesty’s Government in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities, the remuneration for the position of the Provincial Land and Development Facilitator, as established by Order in Council 425/2015, is determined by Order in Council 1032/2019;

And whereas the new section 12 of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing Act has now established the office of the Provincial Land and Development Facilitator, and subsection 12(4) of the Act authorizes the Lieutenant Governor in Council to determine the remuneration and expenses of any person appointed as the Facilitator under the Act;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 12(4) of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing Act,

  1. The person appointed as the Provincial Land and Development Facilitator shall be remunerated at the rate of $1200 for each day that he or she is engaged in the duties of Provincial Land and Development Facilitator, to a maximum of $280,800 annually.
  2. The person appointed as the Provincial Land and Development Facilitator shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while discharging his or her duties in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.

And further that Order in Council 1032/2019 be revoked, effective October 1, 2020.
