Order in Council 1463/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas D. Stephen Jovanovic was appointed as part-time member and vice-chair of the Assessment Review Board, the Child and Family Services Review Board, the Custody Review Board, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Ontario Special Education Tribunal (English), the Ontario Special Education Tribunal (French), the Social Benefits Tribunal, the Animal Care Review Board, the Fire Safety Commission and the Ontario Parole Board for a fixed term effective January 9, 2020 and ending January 10, 2022, by Order in Council O.C. 26/2020;

And whereas D. Stephen Jovanovic was appointed full-time member and associate chair of the Ontario Civilian Police Commission for a term of five years, effective January 11, 2017, by Order in Council O.C. 3/2017;

And whereas D. Stephen Jovanovic tendered his resignation effective August 31, 2021.

Therefore, pursuant to subsections 16 (2) and (4) of the Adjudicative Tribunals Accountability, Governance and Appointments Act, 2009, section 3 of the Assessment Review Board Act, subsections 333(2) and 151(2) of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017, subsection 3(1) of the Compensation for Victims of Crime Act, subsection 32(2) of the Human Rights Code, subsection 169(1) of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006, subsection 57(1.1) of the Education Act, subsection 61(1) of the Ontario Works Act, 1997, subsection 37(2) of the Provincial Animal Welfare Services Act, 2019,  subsection 58(2) of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997, subsection 32(2) of the Ministry of Correctional Services Act and subsection 21(2) of the Police Services Act, Orders in Council O.C. 26/2020 and 3/2017 be revoked effective August 31, 2021.
