Order in Council 1473/2016

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Maureen Carter-Whitney was appointed a full-time member and Vice Chair of the Environmental Review Tribunal by Order in Council 1472/2016 dated October 11, 2016;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 1(6) of the Environmental Review Tribunal Act, 2000 and subsection 16(4) of the Adjudicative Tribunals Accountability, Governance and Appointments Act, 2009,

Maureen Carter-Whitney be paid an annual remuneration of $115,000.

Further, Maureen Carter-Whitney shall be eligible for benefits, excluding pension, in accordance with the benefit entitlements of the Senior Management Group of the Ontario Public Service;

Further, Maureen Carter-Whitney may elect to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan in accordance with the provisions of the Plan. If she declines to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan, she shall not be entitled to compensation in lieu of participation in the Plan;

And further, Maureen Carter-Whitney shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while engaged in the business of the Environmental Review Tribunal in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
