Order in Council 1538/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsection 47(4) of the Crown Employees Collective Bargaining Act, 1993,

1. 1. Subject to paragraph (b), the chair of the Grievance Settlement Board shall be compensated at the rate of $716 per diem;
   2. When the chair is determining a matter, the rate of remuneration for the chair shall be a block fee of $2,400 per hearing day scheduled as mediation, mediation-arbitration, or arbitration and inclusive of preparation time, travel time, conference calls, hearing time and decision-writing.
2. The chair shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in carrying out his or her duties in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.

And further, this Order supersedes the Schedule to Order in Council 336/2017 dated February 7, 2017 in respect of the remuneration to be paid to the chair of the Grievance Settlement Board.
