Order in Council 1569/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council by Order in Council 1140/2019 effective August 14, 2019 ordered the board of the Water Technology Acceleration Project (“WaterTAP”) to wind up the affairs of the corporation;

And whereas the WaterTAP board prepared a proposed plan for winding up the corporation and transferring the corporation’s assets, liabilities, rights and obligations;

And whereas by Order in Council 1141/2019 the Lieutenant Governor in Council approved such plan;

And whereas the WaterTAP board wound up the affairs of the corporation and transferred the corporation’s assets, liabilities, rights and obligations in accordance with that plan;

And whereas the WaterTAP board has notified the Minister in writing that it has finished winding up the affairs of the corporation and transferred the corporation’s assets, liabilities, rights and obligations;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 21(6) of the Water Opportunities Act, 2010, the Lieutenant Governor in Council hereby orders that the Water Technology Acceleration Project be dissolved effective the date of this Order in Council.
