Order in Council 1746/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing established a development planning area pursuant to subsection 2(1) of the Ontario Planning and Development Act, 1994, in the City of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham, on April 17, 2003;

And whereas the Minister amended the development planning area in the City of Pickering, in the Regional Municipality of Durham, on March 25, 2004;

And whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council approved the Central Pickering Development Plan by Order in Council 985/2006 under the authority of the Ontario Planning and Development Act, 1994;

And whereas the Minister approved an amendment to the Central Pickering Development Plan on June 6, 2012;

And whereas the Minister recommends that the Lieutenant Governor in Council revoke the Central Pickering Development Plan;

Therefore the Central Pickering Development Plan and all amendments thereto are hereby revoked under subsection 4(8) of the Ontario Planning and Development Act, 1994, S.O. 1994, c. 23, Sched. A, effective the date that an amendment to Ontario Regulation 59/05, to remove any portion of the lands in the development planning area from the Greenbelt Area, comes into force.
