Order in Council 1783/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Karen Restoule was reappointed as full-time member and associate chair of the Landlord and Tenant Board for a fixed term ending November 4, 2026 by Order in Council O.C. 1313/2021;

And whereas Karen Restoule was appointed as part-time member and vice-chair of the Ontario Parole Board for a fixed term ending April 4, 2022 by Order in Council O.C. 1233/2020;

And whereas Karen Restoule was appointed as alternate executive chair of Tribunals Ontario for a fixed term ending April 4, 2022 by Order in Council O.C. 521/2020;

And whereas Karen Restoule was appointed as part-time member and associate chair of the Ontario Special Education Tribunal (English) and the Ontario Special Education Tribunal (French) for a fixed term ending April 4, 2022 by Orders in Council O.C. 1147/2020 and 1105/2020;

And whereas Karen Restoule was appointed as full-time member and associate chair of the Child and Family Services Review Board, the Custody Review Board for a fixed term ending April 4, 2022 by Order in Council O.C. 1113/2020;

And whereas Karen Restoule was reappointed as part-time member and vice-chair of the Animal Care Review Board, Assessment Review Board, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, the Fire Safety Commission, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Licence Appeal Tribunal, the Ontario Civilian Police Commission and the Social Benefits Tribunal for a fixed term ending April 4, 2022 by Order in Council O.C. 1483/2020;

And whereas Karen Restoule tendered her resignation effective January 13, 2022;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 37(2) of the Provincial Animal Welfare Services Act, 2019, section 3 of the Assessment Review Board Act, subsections 333(2) and 151(2) of the Child, Youth and family Services Act, 2017, subsection 3(1) of the Compensation for Victims of Crime Act, subsection 58(2) of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, 1997, subsection 32(2) of the Human Rights Code, subsection 169(1) of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006, subsection 2(3) of the Licence Appeal Tribunal Act, 1999, subsection 21(2) of the Police Services Act, subsection 32(2) of the Ministry of Correctional Services Act, subsection 57(1.1) of the Education Act, subsection 61(1) of the Ontario Works Act, 1997 and subsections 16(2), 16(3) and 16(4) of the Adjudicative Tribunals Accountability, Governance and Appointments Act, 2009, Orders in Council O.C. 1113/2020, 1233/2020, 521/2020, 1147/2020, 1105/2020, 1313/2021 and 1483/2020 be revoked, effective January 13, 2022.
