Order in Council 1812/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsection 32(2) of the Human Rights Code and subsection 16(4) of the Adjudicative Tribunals Accountability, Governance and Appointments Act, 2009, Romona Gananathan of Toronto be appointed a full-time member and Vice Chair of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario for a term of two years, effective the date of this Order in Council.

Further, whereas Romona Gananathan was reappointed a full-time member of the Social Benefits Tribunal for a term of three years, effective September 16, 2015, by Order in Council O.C. 833/2015;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 77(a) of the Legislation Act, 2006 and subsection 61(1) of the Ontario Works Act, 1997, Order in Council O.C. 833/2015 be revoked effective the date of this Order in Council.
