On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Conservation Authorities Act, Subsection 14(4) authorizes the Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks to appoint a member as a representative of the agricultural sector to each of the conservation authorities;

And whereas subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006 S.O. 2006 Chapter 21, Schedule F authorizes the Lieutenant Governor in Council to determine the remuneration and expenses of a person who is appointed to an office;

Now therefore, remuneration shall be paid to each agricultural sector representative member appointed to a conservation authority, where that authority pays its members as follows:

  1. For each full day of formal business such as attendance at a meeting of the conservation authority, preparatory work, or other reasonable work, the member shall be paid a $150 per diem;

And further, each agricultural sector representative member appointed to a conservation authority is entitled to be paid for travel and other necessary expenses incurred while engaged in work for the conservation authority in accordance with the policies and rates set out in the Management Board of Cabinet’s Travel, Meal and Hospitality Directive.

And further, this Order in Council takes effect on the day that this Order in Council is approved and ordered.
