Order in Council 1929/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered 673/2017, dated the 29th day of March 2017, David Ross Nichols was reappointed as Chief, Emergency Management Ontario effective from April 5, 2017, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding six months from the effective date of his reappointment;

And Whereas David Ross Nichols has agreed to be further reappointed as Chief, Emergency Management Ontario;

Therefore pursuant to section 6.1 of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, as amended, David Ross Nichols is hereby reappointed as Chief, Emergency Management Ontario, effective from the 5th day of October 2017, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a further period not exceeding two years from the effective date of this reappointment.
