Order in Council 1958/2016

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1928/2013, dated December 11, 2013, Dr. Fiona Smaill was reappointed as a part-time member of the Death Investigation Oversight Council, effective from the 16^th day of December 2013, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years from the effective date of her reappointment;

and whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1236/2016, dated August 24, 2016, Dr. Fiona Smaill was designated as a part-time Vice-Chair of the Death Investigation Oversight Council for the duration of her appointment as a part-time member of the Death Investigation Oversight Council, under Order in Council numbered O.C. 1928/2013, dated December 11, 2013;

and whereas Dr. Fiona Smaill has agreed to be further reappointed as a part-time member of the Death Investigation Oversight Council and to be redesignated as a part-time Vice-Chair of the Council;

therefore pursuant to subsections 8(2) and 8(3) of the Coroners Act, as amended, Dr. Fiona Smaill is hereby reappointed as a part-time member of and redesignated as a part-time Vice-Chair of the Death Investigation Oversight Council, effective from the 16^th day of December 2016, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a further period not exceeding three years from the effective date of this reappointment and redesignation.
