Order in Council 1993/2016

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

whereas subsection 54(2) of the Land Titles Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. L.5, provides that where the amount standing to the credit of the Land Titles Assurance Fund is less than $1,000,000 (one million dollars), the Assurance Fund shall be increased by offset from Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (MGCS) claims against the Land Titles Assurance Fund Statutory Appropriation of an amount fixed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council;

and whereas the amount standing to the credit of the Land Titles Assurance Fund with the Accountant of the Superior Court of Justice as of August 31, 2016 is $570,571.99.

now therefore pursuant to subsection 54(2) of the Land Titles Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.L.5, the Land Titles Assurance Fund shall be increased by payment offset from MGCS claims against the Land Titles Assurance Fund Statutory Appropriation of $3,000,000 (three million dollars).
