Order in Council 2119/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to subsection 6(1) of the Public Service Pension Act, the Public Service Pension Plan set out in Schedule 1 thereto, as amended, is further amended, as follows:

1. Clause 10(6.1)(a) is amended by adding the following:
   2. are
      1. represented by the Ontario Provincial Police Association under the Ontario Provincial Police Collective Bargaining Act, 2006;
      2. Commissioned Officers of the Ontario Provincial Police who are represented by the Commissioned Officers Association; or
      3. A Commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police or a police officer with the rank of deputy commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police;
      • and who qualify for a benefit under a long term income protection plan on or after January 1, 2018.

2. Paragraph 10(6.1)(b)(i) is amended by adding “, (4)” after “subsections 15(2), (3)”.
3. Clause 10(6.1)(e) is amended by adding “, and subsection (7) ceases to apply” at the end of that clause.
