Order in Council 2240/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Expert Advisory Panel for Health Care Transformation in Correctional Facilities (“Panel”) was established by Order in Council to provide advice to the Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services and the Minister of Health and Long Term Care regarding the future provision of health care in correctional facilities, the desired health care outcomes for individuals in custody, and various approaches to securing these outcomes;

Therefore pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in right of Ontario to provide for the remuneration of persons who serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities and to reimburse them for appropriate expenses, the following is determined:

1. Members of the Panel shall be paid a per diem of $398 to a maximum of 15 days.
2. Members of the Panel shall be reimbursed for all reasonable expenses incurred while engaging in the business of the Panel in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
